And the Emmy® Award Goes to...

HighRock is thrilled to announce our video team has been nominated to receive three regional Emmy® awards. ("As in, the actual Emmy's on TV?" you ask.  The answer is "Yes!")

The Emmy® Award is the premier television production award presented in various sectors of the television industry, including entertainment programming, news and documentary shows, and sports programming.  The National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter (NCCB) of The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) is the chapter responsible for awarding the Emmy® to those whose work in the television industry in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.  The process relies on a peer judging system, which evaluates pieces in three areas: creativity, content and execution.

Josh Youngbar, Video Director at HighRock, comments on the nominations, “I’m so proud of our team at HighRock. We’re so focused on making our clients look good, it’s strange to turn the lens around and be recognized for our own work too.”

In the category of Commercial – Campaign, we’ve been nominated for Clean Out Your Cabinets, Clean Up the Community – Project ACT NOW, a three-part PSA series highlighting the proper use and storage of prescription medication. The video series is one of the many marketing assets we developed for the Washington County Health Department as part of an ongoing opioid awareness campaign.

In the category of Commercial – Single Spot, we received a nomination for Hagerstown Unite, a commercial promoting the downtown revitalization of Hagerstown, Maryland. Working with civic leaders, businesses and organizations in Washington County, we developed a concept, music score and script to highlight the rich history and promising future of the city. Local artist, Spencer Jackson, performed the music.

In the same category, we were nominated for Hospice of Washington County – Seasons of Change, a commercial highlighting the depth of care given by Hospice employees to families experiencing the loss of a loved one.

Katie Stover, Vice President of HighRock said, “We’re so honored that we were nominated. I’m even more pleased that the videos recognize local projects and organizations in the Hagerstown region. It shows that our community can inspire.”

The final winners will be announced at the regional Emmy® award ceremony in Bethesda, Maryland on June 22, 2019.
